The Italian Chair District was present at the Milan Furniture Fair with two major initiatives: while seventy companies exhibited at I Saloni – among which the leading Promosedia Group Display in Pav. 15 - the FLOATING CHAIRS event was performed on the Naviglio Grande Canal...

The fourth Promosedia Group Display was the largest exhibiting area focusing on chairs: a single open space setting a huge display of seatings and furniture accessories in the most different styles, materials and shapes. This choice proved rewarding for this year’s protagonists too. They were able to convey the Italian Chair District’s knowledge and values as well as to generate common promotional activities, thus attracting numerous trade operators and journalists from different nations and continents and achieving very positive results with respect to image and useful contacts.

In the meantime, within Zona Tortona Design 2009 - the very heart of the Milan Fuorisalone - Floating Chairs staged a highly symbolic installation made up of renowned models from the District. Promoted by the Udine Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Promosedia, in collaboration with ASDISedia and Fondazione Crup, the event attracted the attention of international journalists, architects and interior designers on a single main character: the Friulian chair. Intentionally deprived of its finishing touches and decorations, intentionally solid and essential, to show its essence resulting from the long-lasting expertise and competence of Friulian manufacturers, whose passion and qualities are worldwide renowned. A variety of productions and companies able to interpret market trends and tastes, always manufacturing high-quality products which every day leave the Italian Chair District to reach the international markets.
